YEEEEP, this is nyc Chinese food in all its glory. - incredible value, you really can't beat the quantity of food for price value anywhere in Manhattan - dumplings were big and juicy, with plenty of soy and hot sauce bottles around the little shop to dress as you'd like - scallion pancake on point ‍ - very small little shop with maybe 6-8 seats so don't bank on eating inside but if you go on a slow night you may be able to - will be back many times

Amazing place for cheap and delicious food! The pancakes are delicious! 2 for $3 is a price that can not be beaten. Great service and super fast speed. We also bought frozen dumplings to go. Posting a picture below in case anyone needs it. There are 2 or 3 tables inside for dining in but the whole place isn't too spacious esp if there's a line

Honestly this place is elite. A hole in the wall. So incredibly cheap but also rly good especially when it's hot off the stove. Loveeee the chive pancakes legit so yum. Pan fried chive and pork dumplings were good too. I was pleasantly surprised. Good wontons. I think the pan fried dumplings were better tho. I'm coming again tomorrow so come!! Cash only. No cc or venmo.

I was looking for a quick, low cost lunch and China North Dumpling definitely delivered. I stopped by for Lunch this Saturday and ordered 10 pork and chive dumplings and a sesame pancake for $6 (!). The dumplings had a tasty pork filling, nice char on the outside, and were overall excellent. The pancake was just ok in my opinion. It looks like others have gotten pork or veggies in the pancake so will have to try that next time! This primarily a take out spot so I can't say much about the service/ambiance. I recommend China North Dumpling for anyone in need of a quick, tasty meal on a budget.

Located in Chinatown, hardly 6 mins walk from Delancy Essex st subway station, this is one of the go to places for dumplings. The place is a small one with limited seating and as the Chinese restaurants are they don't focus much on the ambiance rather let the food do the talking! The service is pretty fast too! I ordered a noodle with meat and vegetable sauce. The sauce was good and didn't feel anything like spicy or something while the noodles when served hot were enjoyable, I guess they had shredded pork meat in that sauce. Overall a good experience but the quantity could have been better. Another one was supposed to be veg pancake but unfortunately they were out of it so got replaced by veg dumping. The dumpling has cabbage, ginger and a bit of onion as the filling, wish they had given soy sauce on the side and it would have been better. Overall a pocket friendly place but the quantity definitely is less compared to the other Chinese restaurants I've visited.

Had to get dumplings for Chinese New Years, and I had been wanting to try this place for a while so I came midday on Saturday. The line was extremely long, since I came on probably their busiest day of the year (oops). The restaurant is pretty small, and the day I went it was so busy that nobody was sitting inside. It was either a line out the door or a cloud of people who had already ordered and were just waiting for their food. There was some seating outside but there was also a group of people there already. I ordered the pork dumplings and sesame pancake. These dumplings were the best I've had so far out of the budget, takeout dumplings places I've had so far, but I've only had one other cheap dumpling place. The wrapper was thinner and less doughy, making it easier to eat. The filling was very flavorful and well-rounded, seasoned well and with a lot of pork. The sesame pancake was also really good, with a decent amount of pork in a soft and fluffy pancake. At the moment, the pancake was a little small and was a little overpriced, but looking back that was just because I was comparing the sesame pancake value to the dumplings. I still need to try the other cheap dumpling spots, but this is definitely one I'll come back to whenever I need a snack/quick meal.

Perfect hole in the wall away from the chaos and craze of LES. I was going to gatekeep this, but have to support the homies. Not only are you getting handmade authentic for the BEST COSTS - you're getting deliciousness that melts in your mouth, warms your soul, and brings you to a world outside of what's in arms reach of NYC. It's cash only, but there is an ATM to the left outside, the line is worth the wait, and the staff is even friendlier. There's some seating inside, but you may have to wait and fight for a table - even so, eat it standing or on the curb - perfect for a date, late night snack, or just a little munchie. Additionally, their merch is sick and I'm so happy I caved because it's a little treat to remember the handcrafted goodness between my NYC visits.
